Powerpoint is better than chalk

It is hard to recall if there were such things as presentations before the digital revolution began. There have to have been, but certainly not in the format that we know today. Presenters must have stood before their audience with nothing in their hands other than a piece of chalk, while they wrote their key points on a blackboard. And I remember clear plastic pages that were shown with an overhead projector.  It must have been difficult to understand and even more so to follow. Nowadays, it is hard to imagine any presenter arriving to make a presentation without a laptop, sometimes a mobile projector and a laser pointer. Sitting safely and snugly on the hard disc on the lap top will be a PowerPoint presentation, either based around a standard template or specially designed suit a specific audience. The presenter of today has to stand before their audience confident that the technology that he has at his or her disposal will allow for a more effective presentation.

Presentation Skills

If you will be presenting something in front of a live audience, you need to have the presentation skills coaching to get necessary skills in order for you to deliver what you want to say effectively. If your last presentation didn't really come out as planned, you might need to improve your presentation skills in order to get it right the next time. First of all, the work starts out way before you are in front of your audience. The work starts in the planning of your presentation. The first thing you need to consider is find out who you will be speaking to.

Online Book Publishing: From Blogs to Old Video Games

The realm of online book publishing is not only text or photos as the name would suggest, though by and large, it is still mostly these. Other kinds of media could be subject to online book publishing, including video and sound files and whatever else you can think of. Abandonware or old programs that are now obsolete are one of the more freely published files online. An interesting trend in abandonware online publishing is for video games; including old ones from your childhood that you may have missed. So if you STILL haven’t saved Princess Toadstool, you still can.
