Castings Vs Vermicompost
What is the difference between worm castings and vermicompost? Is there really a difference?
When you are looking for organic fertilizer you might run across those phrases, but you definitely will when you enter the world of worm farms. There is actually a difference and it’s one you might not think of.
Vermicompost is basically compost made by worms.
Worm castings are, unlike vermicompost, pure worm manure. It is “100% worm poo” as it is often advertised. It contains no other material in it, unlike the vermicompost.
Both are very good for the soil and have benefits for your garden. Which one is right for you and your plants? It would probably be best to ask an expert wherever you are purchasing it from.
