Why Use Group Bible Study Guides And Curriculum?

If you set a goal to study the Bible on your own each morning when you woke up at 6am, would you purchase a group Bible study curriculum that included group activities? No. That simply would not make much sense. Who would you do the activities with? Your cat? Something tells me you wouldn't get a very good response. The reverse is also true. When you set out to lead a group of people in a Bible study, you need to use group bible study guides and curriculum that are specifically designed to facilitate communication amongst members. They also make more sense from a financial standpoint because they are usually cheaper since you buy everything in a set.

Bible commentary format — check the print size

when evaluating one of several different types of Bible commentaries for use and possible purchase, be alert to the format.  Bible commentary format can differ from one series to the next — and one important aspect of the format is the print or type size.  Make sure (especially if you are older) that you do not purchase a Bible commentary with print that is too small — you will probably be spending a lot of time reading from that volume, and if the print is too small it will cause you to experience a lot of eyestrain.
